The Green Cup is made from paper sourced from sustainably managed forests accredited by the Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) It is coated with a Unique Water Based Dispersion Barrier which bypasses the need for PE or PLA coatings used in most of the cups currently available.
The Green Cup features a blend of natural and synthetic polymers, similar to components within binding agents in coated papers which means the cup can soon be recycled in the same way as newspaper and cereal boxes.
The Green Cup is made from biodegradable paper board and the water based barrier technology means that The Green Cup doesn’t harm the environment even in the event that it isn’t properly disposed of.
The Green Cup will Biodegrade naturally in landfill within approx. 190 days in comparison to PLA which can take up to 30 years to decompose.
